4th of July Party Food: Recipes for the Independence Day

Celebrate this 4th of July in style and serve some of the amazing recipes for the original holiday food. Your kids, family and friends will love it. Most of these delicious recipes take 30 mins to be prepared and have common ingredients that you can already find in your kitchen.
1. For the Crowd: Grilled Burgers Total Time: 25 min Servings: 6 Ingredients: Vegetable oil, for the grill 3 pounds 80 percent lean ground beef Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper Tabasco sauce, to taste 6 kaiser rolls How to make it: Preheat a grill to medium high and oil the grates. Place the ground beef in a medium mixing bowl. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and 3/4 teaspoon pepper. Add a few dashes of Tabasco sauce, then with your hands, mix the meat and seasoning well. 2. For the kids: Red Devil Hot Dogs Total Time: 15 mins Servings: 8 Ingredients: 1 large sweet onion, finely chopped 2 minced garlic cloves 4 tablespoons margarine 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper How to make it: Cook onion & garlic over medium-low heat until onion is tender, about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Add salt, pepper, Worcestershire, mustard, sugar, and chili sauce. Continue heating until flavors are well blended, about 5 minutes. 3. Holiday cocktails: Fireworks Red, White and Blue Daiquiris Total Time: 20 min Servings: 6 Ingredients: 2 cups ice cubes 1/3 cup blue passion fruit liqueur, such as Hpnotiq or Alize 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes) 2 tablespoons blue curacao liqueur 2 tablespoons white rum 2 tablespoons sugar 1 cup frozen strawberries How to make it: Begin by making the blue layer: Put 1 1/2 cups of the ice cubes in the carafe of a blender. Add the passion fruit liqueur, lime juice, blue curacao, rum and sugar. Blend until slushy and there are no chunks of ice left, adding the remaining 1/2 cup of ice if needed. Holiday Dessert: Flag Cake Total Time: 2 hr 15 min Servings: 20 to 24 Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature, plus more for baking sheet 3 cups cake flour (not self-rising), plus more for baking sheet 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 2 1/4 cups sugar How to make it: Trim any rough edges from cakes using a serrated knife. Place four strips of parchment paper around the perimeter of a serving platter. Place first layer, bottom side up, on serving platter. Using an offset spatula, spread cake with 2 1/2 cups frosting. Top with remaining layer, bottom side up. Spread entire cake with 5 1/2 cups frosting. Place remaining frosting in a large pastry bag fitted with a star tip. Get Full Recipe
